Conference "Young People and Europe 2020" in Pula

The conference "Young People and Europe 2020" that has been organised by Key Q partners took place on 10th May 2012 in Pula at the "Circolo degli Italiani" site in Carrarina, 1 - Pula.

The conference was opened by the greetings of Valerio Drandić, Head of the regional administration of the Region of Istria.

Graciano Prekalj, from AZRRI, introduced the first session of the seminar and the speeches of Eric Degimbe, Director of CEC (Comité Européen de Coordination, Bruxelles - Belgium), Patrizia Bosich (Department for Interregional cooperation and European integration of Region of Istria- Croatia) and Augusto Viola (Central Director for Culture, sport, International and Community relationships).

Youth unemployment rates, Europe 2020 objectives and needs of the labour market, together with territorial cooperation in facing these challanges were the main subjects of the speeches.

During the second session, a round table was moderated by Giovanni Zonin (SCF - Villaggio del Fanciullo - Italy).

Giampiero Reggidori (President of CRPV- Research Center for Crop productions- Italy), Ljiljana Radoš (President of School of Tourism, Catering and Trade in Pula- Croatia), Vesna Baranašić (President of Secondary school for tourism and catering “Antun Štifanić”- Poreč- Croatia), Ivan Sazdevski (President of School for professional education Eugen Kumičić Rovinj- Croatia), Grgo Mikulić (Director of Tourist Board of West Herzegovinian Canton- Bosnia and Herzegovina), Bruno Legović (representative of Agrolaguna- Croatia), Kristina Fedel Timovski (Department for Information, International Cooperation and European policy of City of Pula-Croatia) gave their contributions to the round table, debating about mobility, competences and perspectives for young people towards employment and active participation in the society.

Conclusions to the seminar were given by Olivera Del Cont, KeyQ's officer in JTS, who told that Key Q will be acknowledged as a good practice in cooperation programmes.

The seminar was attended by a relevant group of vacational schools and training centers from Croatia, Italy and Bosnia Herzegovina, and by Institutionals stakeholders from both Adriatic coasts.
